Jeb Dunnuck - Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The top cuvée of the estate is the 2013 Grand Vin, and it’s outstanding in 2013. Medium-bodied, fresh and lively, with a layered textured, it offers terrific notes of cassis, damp earth, licorice and a touch of minerality on nose. Made from 53% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Malbec, it should keep nicely through 2022.

The 2013 Grand Vin, which was still in barrel at the time of this tasting, offers serious notes of black raspberry, licorice, charcoal and toasted spice. It has remarkable purity of fruit, and stylistically, it leans more toward the fresher, more elegant end of the spectrum. Medium+-bodied, layered and silky, with high-quality tannin, it should certainly be an outstanding wine.

Fresh and fruity with some stone and tar undertones. Medium to full body, chewy tannins and a juicy finish. A little dusty in texture.

James Lawther MW - Decanter
Still a youthful, dark garnet hue. Dark and red pastille fruit nose with a subtle hint of spice as it opens. The palate is again fresh and a little more evolved with mint, tobacco and fruit flavours. The tannins are firm and slightly rustic leading to a chewy finish. Probably best to appreciate now and in the shorter term. Also contains 8% Malbec and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend.

2017 - Decanter World Wine Awards
Intense, savoury black fruit embellished with oak-derived characters, with super-fine tannins and acidity in evidence to support further development.
Award: Silver - DWWA 2017
Wine Spectator
Dried cherry, dusty earth and red plum notes ride the zesty acidity in this medium-bodied red. Grippy tannins show through the herb-tinged finish.
Wine Spectator
Peppercorn, red berry and black plum notes mark this supple red. Fresh acidity and easy tannins add nice support, with bitter herb and zesty accents marking the moderate finish.
