Winemakers Note
Solaia is the greatest wine made by the Antinori Family , and one of the absolute best wines of the world . But Solaia aslo been a defining wine for Italy. It is no overstatement to say that Solaia, together with Sassicaia, has contributed more than any other wine to establishing the fame and reputation of Italy as a land of not only good, but truly great wines. Tuscany has produced highly concentrated and rich wines in 2011. We have tasted Solaia and indeed the wine appears to be full-bodied and very powerful, beautifully balanced with tension and freshness . It has reminded us of the 2001, which is superb to enjoy now.
