Lynch Bages, the signature of the Cazes family Located on the outskirts of Pauillac, overlooking the Gironde estuary, the Lynch-Bages vineyard (1855 Grand Cru Classé) stretches over the Bages plateau, one of the commune’s most beautiful gravelly hilltops. Formerly owned by the illustrious Lynch family, of Irish descent, the estate was purchased in 1939 by Jean-Charles Cazes. Marrying the worlds of wine and culture, the Cazes family has positioned Lynch-Bages at the core of a lifestyle. In 2006, Jean-Michel Cazes handed the management over to his son Jean-Charles, who is driven by the same high standards, and the Lynch-Bages wines have continued to reflect their generosity and excellence.
