Product Highlights
In 2019, the Cudlee Creek bushfire burnt through roughly half of the Tomich family’s Woodside vineyard. The family replanted, rebuilt the soil and rethought their pruning. By 2025, Young Gun of Wine had named the site a Vineyard of the Year finalist. This sparkling comes from that single vineyard.
It sits along the Onkaparinga River in the Adelaide Hills, 365 to 420 metres up. The soils are ancient clay and loam over shale. Viticulturist Randal Tomich credits the altitude and a long, cool ripening season for the natural acidity here. He’s chasing elegance and line rather than power. That’s exactly the raw material you want for bubbles.
The family’s wine story started well before the Hills. Ivan Tomich was selling his wine to local farmers around Mildura by 1946. That’s the same year The Wine Collective began life as The Wine Society. We like that kind of coincidence.
Keep a bottle in the fridge door for weeknights, or open one as friends arrive. It’s an honest-priced sparkling with a real vineyard and a real family behind it.
