Tasting Notes

Complex and layered; sweet and savoury all at once. The fragrance is a melting pot of violets, raspberry, plums, a whisker of bramble, fragrant five spice and black olive. Moderate in weight; the summer pudding fruits come in all colours dialling up the flavour. There is cigar box and cardamom spice lending intrigue and a dry spice finish coupled by firm sinewy tannins that ably support the fruit.

Product Highlights

Is this Australia’s most collectible suite of super-premium reds? Yarra Yering is an icon at the absolute peak of its game.

From the estate that is Yarra Valley royalty, multi-time #1 Australian Winery of the Year, place of Winemaker of the Year and home of a plethora of multi award-winning icons.

This highly-anticipated annual release of its flagship Dry Red No. 1, Dry Red No. 2, and Underhill Shiraz is the cornerstone of the entire legend status. And, here they are!

Shiraz with a touch of Viognier, Marsanne and Mataro. 97 points. Medium-bodied, elegant, complex.

More Rhône than Barossa in the cooler 2024 vintage. Lifted, perfumed… violets, spice, red and black fruits. That savoury Rhône edge running straight through it, with silky, fine tannins.

Drink it now with pleasure… or give it time to evolve.
