Gary Walsh - The Wine Front

I had winemaker Ben Tombs drop over today to show me his wares. If you swap the first letters of his first name and last name you get Ten Bombs, which I very much enjoy. Wary Galsh does not quite work as well. Deeper red fruit, cherry, roses, baking spice. Medium-bodied, cherry and and quite some mouth-perfume, lovely flow and balance to the wine, tannin has a fine chew, there’s a gentle sappiness, and spice closes out a finish of very good length. Lovely wine. All just so.
