Medium crimson with magenta hue. This cool climate shiraz has an inviting nose of violets, white pepper and spice entwined with bright blue and black fruits, Danish and a touch of cedar - the aromatics are inviting. This wine expresses elegance and purity, perfectly capturing the cool climate from which it hails. The palate is lively with bright rich fruits of blueberry and mulberry supported by complexing flavours of sandalwood, white pepper, and spice. Product Highlights

This is big.

A true piece of Australian winemaking royalty. A Coonawarra icon with a storied history stretching right back to 1867.

Its story includes rubbing shoulders with the pioneering legend John Riddoch, who commissioned the historic limestone woolshed that still stands on the property today.

That legacy was amplified by the late, great Wayne Stehbens - one of the longest-serving and most successful winemakers in Australian history - who created the premier 1980 release in that very same ancient woolshed.

This magnificent 5-Star Halliday estate has two Jimmy Watson trophies to its name, alongside an immutable Langton’s “Excellent” classification and a veritable swag of trophies, Gold Medals and prestigious accolades collected at national and international wine shows over decades.

The pedigree here has some seriously impressive runs on the board.

The Mystery Coonawarra Shiraz 2022 is an absolute titan of premium Coonawarra winemaking, from an estate that helped show the world what this geographically tiny, cigar-shaped strip of terra rossa soil over pure limestone was capable of producing.

This is classic super-premium Coonawarra Shiraz. Hand-crafted to stand alongside the very finest, it is only produced in superior vintages and always as a limited release.

Made with meticulous attention to detail, it delivers a cool-climate combination of power, grace and flavour. Aromas of white pepper, violets and spice draw you in, followed by bright, rich blueberry and mulberry, nuances of dark chocolate and textured, multi-layered tannins.

The finish is long, polished and deeply satisfying.

There’s more than 150 years of history wrapped up in this magnificent red - a serious Coonawarra Shiraz with an impeccable backstory and the pedigree to match.
