Lethbridge Mietta Pinot Noir 2021

97 POINTS

Philip Rich - Halliday Wine Companion

Estate grown and all MV6 from the oldest plantings at Lethbridge. Made with 100% whole bunches. Bright crimson. A serious wine with small red and black fruits, earth and mineral notes and hints of spice and black pepper from the whole bunches. And while the tannins feel as if they've been gently extracted, they're present, giving this complete wine the structure to improve over the next 10 years and probably longer.

James Suckling

Fresh and pure, with aromas of red fruits, citrus peel, lead pencils and earth and a floral lift. The palate is refined and textural, with finely tuned tannins and a mineral core, showing both delicacy and tension. Remarkably restrained, despite 80% whole-cluster fermentation and aging in 100% new oak. Nicely constructed.
