Tasting Notes

Vintage 2025 saw a very strong fruit set which, coupled with new vineyard plantings, resulted in the largest crop Tasmania has ever produced. Whilst it was technically a dry season, the humidity was high so less irrigation was required than normal. In the absence of temperature and wind extremes, all our grape varieties produced absolutely stunning grapes! A vintage of this calibre only occurs once in a while….. This young Pinot Noir already shows impressive intensity and complexity, marking it as one to watch. Its vibrant ruby hue leads into an expressive bouquet where red fruits leap from the glass, layered with subtle cedar, cocoa and a hint of black pepper. The palate is generous and richly fruited, brimming with raspberries, strawberries, red and dark cherries and a touch of plum. Fruit and oak intertwine beautifully, lingering with remarkable persistence and finesse. For food pairings, it shines alongside Peking Duck or BBQ’d Raddoch Farm quail with a spicy cherry compote, each dish amplifying the wine’s natural vibrancy and depth.
