Bachelet Monnot Santenay Les Charmes Dessus 2024

Neal Martin - Vinous

The 2024 Santenay Les Charmes-Dessus has a slightly darker and more introspective bouquet compared to the Les Prarons (the two lie at extremes of the appellation) with a slightly clayey, spicy component that tinctures the aromatics. The palate is well balanced, quite strict and linear, lightly spiced on the finish but it doesn't want to put a foot wrong and plays it safe. Enjoy this over the next decade. Points: 88-90
