Tasting Notes

Dark red core with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. A mixture of cherry, rhubarb and dried herb scents greet the nostrils followed by some forest floor and spicy cedar notes. Savoury red to dark cherry, strawberry and rhubarb flavours meld into a back drop of game, forest floor, dried herbs and spicy cedar. Fine grained tannins. Polished and fleshy in it’s feel it finishes with good length

Sweet

"Not a Pinot Noir in the sense of being overly Sweet"

— Graham W. (1/5)

Best of a sample bunch.

"New to the Pinot story I had a selection organised and shipped by Stuart. The Wild Side surpassed the two Otago pinots by some distance. It's savoury and sweet. There is zest on the front, depth in the middle and lingering excitement to finish. Somehow it blends youth and maturity in the same glass to give a vinified "umami". Highly recommended."

"Wonderful drinking on a warm afternoon. We took a bottle to a neighbours BBQ and everyone who tasted it was very impressed. Lots of crunchy red fruit flavour with a long finish."

Quality Tasmanian Pinot

"Great value for money. You can easily pay $50 for Tassie Pinot. Also, I think this will cellar well for 2-5 years."

— Cliff T. (5/5)

Perfect Pinot

"I love this wine and have ordered it many times. A beautiful graceful wine with pure pinot fruit and decent length."
