SOLER takes its name from the Venetian dialect word for a loft or upper floor of a traditional rural house, historically used for drying the finest grapes. De Stefani revives this tradition by naturally drying a portion of the grapes used in the blend, giving the wine additional richness, softness and concentration. A complex blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Refosco and Marzemino, the 2022 shows deep ruby colour and an expressive nose of ripe fruit, plum, violet and ethereal spice. The palate is full-bodied and enveloping, with silky tannins, rich texture and developing tertiary complexity. A natural partner for stuffed pasta, grilled meats and cured meats.

Winemakers Notes
De Stefani is a family-owned winery from Veneto, Italy, with documented roots in the village of Refrontolo dating back to 1624. In 1866, founder Valeriano De Stefani established the family's winemaking tradition in the hills of what is now the Conegliano Valdobbiadene UNESCO World Heritage area. The third generation expanded into the Piave Valley, where the winery's headquarters and cellars remain today. Now led by fourth-generation winemaker Alessandro De Stefani and his wife Chiara, the family focuses on old vines, high-density vineyards and native Veneto varieties, combining traditional winemaking with a natural, sustainable approach. Their wines span the hills of Refrontolo and the Piave Valley, expressing the distinctive soils, climate and heritage of eastern Veneto.
