Sam Kim - Wine Orbit

Beautifully styled and expressed, the wine shows dark berry, cigar, toasted spice and cedary oak characters on the nose, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate offering supple texture and refined mouthfeel. Classically structured, it's impressively long and sustained with alluring, complex flavours.

Just 2,021 bottles made of this fine Great Southern Cabernet Sauvignon, so it is worth moving quickly. An appealing purple mauve colour, the nose exhibits dried herbs, blackberries, cassis, chocolate, a flick of pepper, plums and impressive oak integration. Good focus here, a lovely mix of finesse and force. Fine sleek tannins, this is nicely balanced, with more chocolate notes emerging on the palate. This should certainly provide pleasure over the next ten to twelve years.

A balanced, mellow and seductive cabernet sauvignon. Notes of cherries, dried herbs and roasted bell peppers. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Fine texture, with a comforting stream of sweet berries and chocolate.
