The dominant Chardonnay feature creates a delicate, subtle and very elegant bouquet. It reveals white flowers aroma and charming fruity notes thanks to the Pinot Noir. Its affirmed minerality gives it distinction and nobility. The well rounded mouth is enjoyable; a dash of freshness invigorates the palate and brings out a beautiful, ample and complex structure with a good length in mouth.

At the Decanter World Wine Awards, more than 16,000 wines are tasted from around the globe. To earn Platinum, a wine first has to win Gold, before being tasted blind again by Decanter’s most senior judges in a second round reserved for the very best.

Brimoncourt Brut Régence emerged with 97 points and Platinum, becoming one of only nine Champagnes to earn the accolade.

And it found itself in some extraordinary company, alongside famous Champagne houses with centuries of history behind them.

Which makes Brimoncourt’s story even more interesting.

Founded in 2008, it is one of Champagne’s younger houses. Rather than leaning heavily on generations of history, Brimoncourt has built its name around refinement, precision and a fresher interpretation of the classic Champagne style.

Brut Régence captures that perfectly. The blend is around 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, delivering a style that is fresh, elegant and beautifully balanced, with the finesse and brightness that make it such a natural aperitif.

Great non-vintage Champagne is about refining the same idea year after year. A little more precision here. A little more balance there.

With 97 points and Platinum from Decanter, Brimoncourt has shown just how far that approach can go.
