Such a beautiful vintage has been captured perfectly with this classic Rhone-inspired blend. It’s a medium bodied bright as a button fruit led wine of captivating brightness and vitality. The palate is a mix of blackberry and cherry with a little spicy, peppery infusion to lift. The soft and supple fruit have plenty of structural support from the chalky tannins and fine acidity.

Geographe is a magnificent region for varieties like Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. It is blessed with warm days (north of Margaret River and the Great Southern) but cool nights and impacted by the sea breeze off the Indian Ocean, and it has a varied topography courtesy of the rolling hills. In short, it's a brilliant region, one I am very fond of. So, this 2023 G.S.M. gives us everything we want from the blend: bright berry fruits, fine tannins and mouthfilling flavor. It is buoyant and juicy, with a gravelly undertow of tannin. There's a lot to like here. It's reliable in the extreme. 13.9% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Plums, strawberries, violets, orange rind and peppercorns on the nose, followed by a full-bodied, chewy and attractively peppery palate. Crunchy tannins. Grenache, shiraz and mataro.

A supple, flowing and gentle red wine imbued with forest berry compote aromas and flavours, dashes of cinnamon and dried herbs, a lick of dark chocolate and some fennel piquancy. Easy as can be, smooth and finishing with pleasing, peppery spice. Straight up and down, but good times GSM.
