Made with 50% whole bunches, 10% new oak. An exuberant crimson purple. Leaps out the glass with exuberant aromas of red and black fruits, Indian spice and dark rose. The palate is medium bodied, juicy fruited and quite delicious straight out of the gate. There's enough tannin and bright acidity, though, to ensure this will only get better over the next four to six years. A bargain at this price.

Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front

This too has a new (striking) label, though I don’t yet have access to the image. It’s also made by Sarah Crowe, as are all the Warramate wines. This isn’t really my style of pinot, on paper, in that’s it’s a bit more macerated and less fruit-forward than I usually prefer. And yet I like this wine quite a lot. It carries ample twig and herb notes, traces of mineral, a bit of mint and a satisfying pour of dry, brooding, cherry-plum fruit. It’s perfectly turned out, and lovely to drink. A touch of reduction doesn’t ‘t hurt matters either.
