Sam Kim - Wine Orbit
It's delightfully fruited and elegantly fragrant on the nose, showing apricot, rockmelon, green pear, and white flower notes, leading to a finely expressed palate that's juicy and rounded. Beautifully supported by bright acidity, making it refreshing and immediately appealing.

A light and slightly drier expression of Pinot Gris, but one which shows the cooler climate influence of the Eden Valley vineyard. It’s quite a delicate wine, but still with those apple crumble-like notes and a little cut pear on the nose. And then a palate which has a crunchy acidity, which creates a lovely, delicious, satisfying mouthfeel. Just a beautiful current drinking wine.

Named after the migratory bird that visits the vineyards, for this thoroughly enjoyable Pinot Gris, the team use an airbag press and neutral yeast, all designed to ensure that the fruit is given every opportunity to shine. The colour is a near invisible pale lemon. On the nose, we have classic Pinot Gris aromas with crisp pears, green apples, florals and a hint of citrus. That touch of pink grapefruit lingers throughout. There is a minerally texture and the wine has focus, balance and good length. Enjoy this over the next five years.
