Old bush vines planted in the Riverland. Strawberry, a slightly salty smell, pink grapefruit, some floral things, fennel and dried herbs. It’s juicy and tangy, redcurrant and blood orange, light chalky grip, again that little savoury flourish of brined green olive and dried herb, with a finish of good length and a little orange peel bitterness. I reckon this is the best of the line to date.

From old vineyards in the Riverland and McLaren Vale, various fermentation methods, including some whole bunch and larger, older oak. Pale in the glass, juicy, spicy, a touch ferrous and earthy. Wild raspberry, cherry compote, red licorice, bay laurel, roasted chestnut, musk and rose. It’s open-knit and ready to go, as befits an entry-level offering, yet the tannins are carefully extracted and layered, showing winemaking thoughtfulness and declaring gastronomic purpose.

A blend of Riverland and McLaren Vale I believe. Red cherry, raspberry, some floral notes, seaweed and peanuts. It’s medium-bodied, juicy strawberry and peanut, quite saline with soft tannin on a slightly warm finish of solid length. Affable. Pretty good.
