Ned Goodwin - Halliday Wine Companion
From the Bantry Grove vineyard, 1000m above sea-level, this is a blend of 60% chardonnay and 40% pinot noir with a dose of 7g/l, fermented with the traditional method and a dash of older wood. The base is constituted with fruit from '13 having spent 4 years on tirage. The result is filigreed and fresh, with a leesy depth and fine detail across delicate mousse, Granny Smith apple and citrus notes. The mineral quotient drives the finish long and palpably very dry. Exceptional.

Campbell Mattinson - Halliday Wine Companion
Based on the '11 vintage; 5 years on lees; 2nd disgorgement. Cracked wheat and grapefruit, red apple and honey. This is zesty, intense, complex and honeyed at once. It's perhaps a little too grippy on the finish, but there's much to be impressed by here.

Huon Hooke - Decanter
This is fresh and youthful for a Pinot Noir-Chardonnay blend that has most likely spent at least six years on lees. Fruit drives the wine: lemon/citrus aromas with honey notes and traces of flint. There's a whisper of bready development and the palate is crisp, refreshing, refined and harmonious, without obvious dosage sweetness. An excellent sparkling wine in a fresher, fruit-driven style. (Tiraged in August 2016).

Huon Hooke - The Real Review
(based on 2011 vintage; second disgorgement, after 3 years on lees) Light straw colour, still remarkably youthful. The wine has built very good complexity with the extra year on lees and time on cork. Nutty, lightly toasty and subtle honey notes. It's intense, savoury and cleanly dry on the finish, with good persistence. Crisp, lively, fresh and flavoursome. Excellent wine.

Huon Hooke - The Real Review
Palish colour, fresh and bright. Clean, fresh fruit aroma, not much yeast or age development. Delicate, fresh, clean and balanced. A little spice and passionfruit. A very attractive younger-style sparkling. The finish is clean and dry and harmonious. There is plenty of liqueur, but it's very well integrated into a seamless whole. Youthful but very good. (two years on lees; bottling date 7/11 on back-label. So, it's based on the 2011 vintage)
2025 - Decanter World Wine Awards
Aromas of strawberries, stone fruit honey and croissant with touches of lemons. Dry and crisp. Award: Bronze - DWWA 2025
Huon Hooke - The Real Review
Light to mid yellow straw colour. Shy, straightforward and youthful straw-like aromas, a trace of marshmallow. The palate is light and clean, uncomplicated and youthful. Clean finish, fairly dry and light, but adequate flavour. Good balance. (2010 vintage base)
Huon Hooke - The Real Review
Very toasty aged bouquet; slight fried-onion aromas. Not bad but lacks a bit of charm and freshness
