Tasting Notes

Trois Citrus is issued from the exploration by the Merlet family of a French traditional bitter orange liqueur, the Triple Sec. It’s creation involved some of the world’s best bartenders. The result of this collaboration is the alliance of maceration and distillation of bitter orange, lime and mandarin. Merlet Trois Citrus is a unique blend of complex aromas with a low sugar content. This makes it the perfect ingredient for classic cocktails such as the Margarita, the Cosmopolitan or the sidecar. A subtle marriage allying the maceration and distillation of oranges, lime, and mandarin.

Winemakers Note

Today, the Merlet family produces a range of ten fruit liqueurs whose excellence is based on a unique know-how. The family masters all the stages of the process, from the selection of the fruit to the production and bottling. The quality of the fruit is the most important element for the quality of the liqueurs. Thanks to the experience accumulated by growing its own blackcurrant, Merlet controls the ripeness of all the fruits used for its liqueurs, coming from scrupulously selected farmers. The fruits used to make the liqueurs are macerated in super-fine alcohol to extract all the flavours. Both the quantity of fruit and their perfect ripeness guarantees the exceptional concentration of the aromas of the liqueurs.
