This is the other cuvée of Vincent’s NV Rosé Désir that I tasted. The blend is 99% Pinot Noir and 1% Chardonnay, 4g dosage, so not brut nature but extra brut, and disgorged in July 2022. I tried them side by side and they were equally compelling in different ways. They also have different labels and all the info is on the back of the bottle, easy to determine which is which. It feels sweeter than the brut nature version. Not that I can detect 0g vs 4g of sugar so precisely, but the fruit feels sweeter and darker in its profile. It has an intense cherry aroma and flavour, and an almost meaty character which works well for the balance. With this great concentration comes spiced red plum, cinnamon sprinkle, and a great pitch of acidic, bitter grapefruit finish. The oyster shell turns more into granitic dust. A serious sparkling rosé that is seriously delicious. Whichever of the bottles you get to taste, you won’t be disappointed. Importer: Mosaique

Fresh wild-strawberry flavor dominates this bright and youthful wine. It is dry and crisp, yet has a mouthfilling weight. Definitely a food Champagne and one that benefits from a few minutes aeration.
