Winemakers Notes
Nestled in the heart of Provence, just minutes from the Mediterranean Sea, Chateau Les Mesclances is a historic family-owned estate with a winemaking heritage dating back to ancient Greek and Roman times. Owned by the same family since 1531, the estate has preserved its Provencal identity while embracing modern sustainable viticulture. Today, under the leadership of Arnaud de Villeneuve, Chateau Les Mesclances produces all its wines exclusively at the property, from vineyard to cellar, with a passionate team dedicated to expressing the unique character of its terroir. Located at the foot of the Massif des Maures, the estate benefits from a remarkable diversity of soils and Mediterranean influences. Around 30 hectares of vineyards are planted with classic Provencal varieties including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Rolle (Vermentino), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, allowing each parcel to contribute its own personality to the final blends. Committed to protecting the land for future generations, Chateau Les Mesclances follows environmentally responsible farming practices and produces wines that are Organic Certified, reflecting the estate’s respect for biodiversity, terroir and sustainable winemaking. Recognised by leading wine critics for the quality and elegance of its wines, Chateau Les Mesclances is emerging as one of Provence’s most exciting estates, crafting refined roses, whites and reds that combine tradition, authenticity and a true sense of place.
