Karriview is the oldest-producing vineyard in Denmark, and at nearly 40 years of age, the wealth of its growing wisdom is again evident this vintage. A warm vintage, which resulted in one of the earliest picking windows on record. And so, a slightly riper rendition of this wine, though not at the expense of its marvellous acidity. Toasted cashew, frangipane tart, lemon curd and the lift of spring florals; this is unmistakably Karriview. Optimal balance unlocked, a swathe of fruit, quince, mango and yellow peach all circle the velvety mouthfeel. Spice, cardamom and nutmeg reverberate throughout. Unapologetic decadence for serious pondering.

Ray Jordan

This comes from Denmark's oldest producing vineyard, which Paul Nelson acquired a few years ago. It's a distinctive style with layers of complexity evident from the nose. There's a slightly buttery, savoury combination, a stone-fruit, slightly nectarine influence, and a subtle dollop of fresh cream. The palate is rich and textured with layers of savoury, brioche-like flavours, and it strikes a terrific balance of subtle oak influence and well-managed fruit. Excellent wine.
