One of my favourite mid-tasting snacks comes from the old Laughing Cow. I do so enjoy a little pack of Cheez Dippers, although of late, the excess packaging kind of grinds away at my conscience. When I run out of breadsticks in the packet, I offer the remaining cheese to our dog, Lloyd, who also loves a Cheez Dipper.  I’ve no idea why I write such things, and yet I do. Blueberry, mulberry, a dried rose perfume, a little gum leaf and lovely cedar/pencil oak. It’s medium-bodied, tannin is firm and well-etched, blackcurrant and tobacco, and a tight finish of excellent length. Excellent. All just so.

Mike Bennie - Halliday Wine Companion

A vibrant expression, lush and bright with supple texture and a general sense of high drinkability. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel or put glitter all over it, instead, we get a compact, refined, pure-feeling cabernet of great balance, vibrant fruit, integrated winemaking overlay and a general sense of ease. It's all blue fruits, sweet spice, a bit of green herb and some gentle woody seasoning. Mellow, easy and pleasing.

The 2021 The Farm Single Vineyard Cabernet Malbec is a singularly impressive wine: it is juicy and vibrant, but it is also layered with spice, rose petals, leaf/bramble and black tea nuance. The wine is detailed, incredibly so for the price (approximately $35AUD), and is possessed of the Clare Valley regional leafiness that so defines the Cabernets (and, to a certain extent, the Malbecs) from here. Drink it soon(ish), but love it while you're doing it. It's really good.
