Sam Kim - Wine Orbit

Richly fruited and gorgeously complex, the fragrant bouquet showcases blackberry, star anise, tapenade, dark cocoa, and toasty oak aromas. The palate exhibits excellent concentration and a plush mouthfeel, beautifully structured by layers of silky tannins, finishing persistent and gratifying.

Angus Hughson - Vinous

The well-weighted 2022 Shiraz, from vines planted in 1902, delivers compact aromas of graphite and blackberry lifted by rich dark soil complexity. Again, it's pretty dense, robust and flavorsome, but it also has vibrancy and freshness. The 2022 is a serious and excellent value to enjoy over the medium term.

Dave Brookes - Halliday Wine Companion

From 1902-planted, organically certified shiraz grown on the sands of Vine Vale. Deep, inky blackberry, black cherry and macerated Doris plum fruits with a solid layer of backing spice and hints of licorice, fruitcake, dark chocolate, vanillin oak, violets and earth. It's quite a full-bodied, broody wine with intense black fruits, chewy, sandy tannins and just a touch of heat on the finish.
