Planted on a cool, south-facing slope on what is one of Giant Step's warmest sites. 30% mlf, 30% new oak. There's a gentle creaminess on the nose combined with white peach and grilled hazelnuts. Less opulent than the '24 without forgoing this wine's usual texture and mouthfeel. Delicious straight out of the gate but structured enough to cellar for at least the next four to six years.

Tarraford is the lowest and theoretically the warmest of Giant Steps single vineyard sites. But it’s a south-facing vineyard, which keeps it cool. This is Tarraford in fine form. It has an inherent and up-front generosity but it’s oh so stylish from the mid-palate onwards. This is not a flamboyant wine but it’s something of a masterclass. It tastes of grapefruit, nectarine, pears, cedar and salted almonds, and from start to finish it oozes class. The length of the finish is exquisite.
