The prominent characteristic of Germanaís Caetanos CachaÁa is its fruity flavour, slightly sweet thanks to cerejeira, also known as cherry tree used to make the Umburana barrels. This is achieved by ageing for two years in Umburana barrels. During ageing of this type of wood, the CachaÁa receives a beautiful light yellowish colour and a rounded sweet taste. Ideal for lovers of a CachaÁa aged in the most traditional Brazilian wood. Recommended serve: sip neat out of the fridge, red fruit caipifruta like strawberry and raspberry and batidas.

Germana is a handmade very artisanal Brazilian spirit made in the state of Minas Gerais. Produced from unrefined sugar cane juice and a little corn flour, it is regarded as one of the best quality CachaÁas (pronounced ìka-shah-saî) in this world. It is produced from estate-grown sugarcane cut by hand using machetes and immediately transported to the distillery where it is processed through the one and only electrical machine to extract the juice. Fermentation is dependent on the weather as it is a natural process with natural yeasts made from maize planted at the fazenda (Farm) and can take between 18 to 24 hours. The ìsugarcane wineî is then distilled in a copper still. At Germana, CachaÁa is a way of life, a passion.
