Product Highlights

Calvert is the Felton Road vineyard that speaks through its tannins. It sits about a kilometre east of the winery on deep, heavy silt under a thin skin of loess. Felton Road credits that soil for Calvert’s signature: a perfumed lift, then a fine, mineral grip with real stature.

Blair Walter has made every Felton Road vintage since 1997. Blair’s verdict, with true Central Otago understatement for 2025: “another very decent vintage”.

The proof stacks up. The Real Review named Felton Road New Zealand Winery of the Year in 2024. It won again in 2025, the first winery ever to go back to back. Cameron Douglas MS has already scored three of the estate’s other 2025 Pinots at 97 points. Every vine is certified organic and biodynamic, and production is held at around 12,000 cases a year.
