Wonderfully composed and styled, the wine shows Black Doris plum, sweet cherry, warm spice, cured meat, mushroom, and toasted almond characters on the nose. The palate exhibits excellent concentration, plush texture and layers of fine tannins, making it wonderfully harmonious and flowing to a persistent, refined finish.

An expressive pinot from the Domaine Thomson vineyards overlooking Lake Dunstan in the Cromwell basin. Flint struck, slightly reductive raspberry and red cherry fruits with an understory of wild-eyed exotic spice, thyme, leaf litter, charcuterie, dried citrus rind and crushed minerals. Chewy and textural with pure fruits and with plenty of chalky, drying tannins and a bright mineral line.
