The 2023 Beaune Pertuisots 1er Cru shows a little reduction on the nose, but it is armed with pretty blueberry and raspberry fruit that blossoms in the glass. The palate is beautifully knit, pure and refined, with vivacious Morello cherries, crushed strawberries and a silky texture toward the finish. Excellent. Points: 92-94

The 2023 Beaune 1er Cru Pertuisots is dense and impressively concentrated in a vintage where that's far from the norm, offering up aromas of cherries, cassis and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and layered palate structured around chalky tannins.
