Tasting Notes

Olmera is a single-vineyard white from De Stefani's Le Ronche estate in Fossalta di Piave. Its name comes from the local dialect word for the elm forest that once stood where the vineyard is now located. The old trees are believed to have contributed distinctive elements to the soil, helping give the wine its structure and personality. The blend combines Tocai/Friulano and Sauvignon Blanc: the Friulano contributes body, texture and structure, while Sauvignon brings aromatic intensity and elegance. The 2023 vintage is straw yellow with golden reflections, opening with ripe fruit and exotic aromas. The palate is full, harmonious and velvety, with remarkable persistence. A serious gastronomic white, particularly suited to risotto, shellfish and seafood.
