Whole bunches of shiraz (94%) were fermented on riesling skins (6%) for 11 days; 16 months in barrel. It’s hard to know exactly what the impact of the riesling skins is, but it’s no doubt preferable to what that amount of viognier might do with this fruit. Quality fruit it is, and somewhat elegant (maybe the riesling is whispering…), wild-berried and lifted, a refined expression but still sun-kissed and ripe, the tannins finely grainy, drawing long.
