Sourced from the Waihopai Valley. A bramble of blackberries, Bing cherries and blood plums. Blackberry leaf, sage and allspice. A hint of lilac and lavender. Frankincense and star anise. Tannins are sappy and packed in the mid palate, acidity peaks and flows, bringing forth some red fruit crunch. There is a black Assam tea leaf finish that's alluring and moreish. Plenty to love in this deceptively light coloured wine. Well structured and compact.
