Product Highlights

This is Riesling with a touch of sweetness, and it’s made that way on purpose. Sam Kim rated it medium in style, and Ray Jordan called it off-dry but beautifully balanced. The vineyard fronts a stretch of water in southern Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. That water buffers the vines against frost and moderates the climate while the grapes ripen. Expect juicy lime and lemon, orange peel and a kumquat note, with white flowers and a hint of fig. The sweetness is light. Fine, bright acidity keeps the finish clean and zingy. Kim’s 95 points rewarded its poise, harmony and persistence. Ray Jordan liked how evenly the residual sweetness and acidity sit together. Off-dry Riesling is made for spice and salt. Try it with a Thai green curry or salt-and-pepper squid. The sweetness cools the chilli, and the acidity cuts through the salt. Ray Jordan suggests drinking it over the next few years, while that citrus is at its brightest.
