2025 Mystery Margaret River Chardonnay Deal No. 6347

It pours pale, almost shy. Then we tasted the grilled cashews and lemon sponge cake in the glass, and that's when we stopped being polite and bought the lot. Sun-drenched Marg's Chardonnay for the mid-week, when you want something special, but don't want to pay for Cullen or Moss Wood.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant, fresh straw colour with a lighter hue. Aromas of fresh nectarine, pear, and citrus blossom notes. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe peaches and zesty lemon curd are guided by a mineral acidity to a long finish.

Product Highlights

Judge this Chardonnay by its colour and you'll get it completely wrong. The grapes were picked on cool Margaret River autumn mornings, when the fruit is at its freshest, and went straight to the winery.

Then came just four months in French oak, a short stay by the region's standards. That's long enough to add a savoury, nutty edge and short enough to keep the fruit in charge. Expect nectarine, pear and citrus blossom, then ripe peach and lemon curd filling the mouth, with hints of cashew and oatmeal and a bright mineral line carrying it to a long finish.

Make it the bottle for a Sunday roast chook, or a Friday night that deserves a treat without the fuss. This is serious Margaret River Chardonnay, with a label we've promised to keep under wraps and a price that makes the secret worth keeping.
