Verdelho, as a variety, has an extensive history in the Hunter Valley.In the early 1820s, pioneering figures like James Busby and John Macarthur brought Verdelho from Europe. Initially, it was used mainly for fortified wines. These vines that produce this Estate Verdelho were planted on our Lovedale Road property in the early 90s. This Verdelho bursts with fresh, tropical aromas like lychee, passionfruit, and a hint of pineapple. It’s crisp on the palate, with vibrant fruit characteristics that mirror the nose with an added touch of lemon rose geranium.
