Gorgeously styled and expressed, the wine shows dark plum, rich floral, thyme, smoked game, and hazelnut aromas on the nose. It's richly weighted with refinement and finesse, wonderfully complemented by velvety texture and fine-grained tannins, finishing splendidly long and satisfying.

Mid-ruby in the glass with inviting aromas of damson plum, wild strawberry, dark cherry and some lovely raspberry top notes. There's a nice juiciness to the aromatic profile with expressive fruit tones layered with medina spice and hints of wildflowers, gentle nutty oak, pomegranate, crushed rocks, vanilla bean and a base of dried game meats and undergrowth. Layered and spicy on the palate, which shows plenty of clarity and complex pinosity. The tannins are fine and gravelly and there's a long draw of flavour on the finish.

Juicy, ripe and delicious, blooming with violet florals, red and black cherry, and black plum, with a delicate dusting of cinnamon and wood spice. Concentrated and confident. Dry and medium bodied, with a silky satin texture, gliding with jammy red and black berry flavours, carried on a backbone of well-managed acidity. This leads to a subtly spiced, fine tannin grip on the finish, where mocha and cocoa linger on a long, perfumed close. Cracking wine.
