Excellent colour with good depth and bright red plum vibrancy. The nose and palate show coconut and toasted barrel characters, leading into a big, rich and juicy palate. Masses of American oak are matched by generous spice and pronounced Christmas cake richness. Bold, expressive and unmistakably Barossa in style, delivering power, warmth and indulgence. Plush, modern Barossa Shiraz with excellent balance and early appeal.

Deep crimson. Blackberry pastille, dark chocolate aromas with attractive spicy notes. Richly concentrated blackberry, Christmas cake, cassis, brandied plum flavours, chocolaty firm textures and integrated acidity. Cigar box notes at the finish. Traditional style with very good definition and structure
A blend of Barossa and Eden Valleys, this is a well-crafted Shiraz that captures the bright freshness and detail of the impressive and cool 2024 harvest. AP John American oak is well deployed to support fine-grained tannins and dark chocolate oak complexity. It's delicious now and will hold for the medium term.

It's splendidly fruited and inviting on the nose, showing dark and purple fruit intensity, star anise, liquorice, and cedar characters with a hint of dark cocoa. It's succulent and weighty in the mouth, offering a silky texture backed by polished tannins, making it wonderfully flavoursome and highly enjoyable.

The fruit for this thoroughly enjoyable Barossa Shiraz is sourced from vineyards across the Valley. The aim is a style that is “richer, fuller and higher in alcohol than many Barossa red wines”. That will be music to some ears, perhaps less so to others. No matter, there are undoubtedly more than enough wine lovers who adore this style. And this place does it well. The fruit is the last picked each harvest to ensure this ripeness. After fermentation, the wine spends another year in barrels maturing. Under cork. Inky dark purple, this is indeed big and bold. We have aromas weaving through chocolate, coffee grinds, cassis, blackberries and mocha. There is good oak integration, though it is still in progress. Early days and at this stage, some might find the wine a little splintery, while others will find it just their thing. Supple and dense in texture, there is very good length and sleek tannins. This is a wine of immense promise, but it is certainly drinking well now, and can be enjoyed over the next eight to twelve years.
