This is out of the box in the best sense. Quite unctuous, medium-weight texture, lanolin grease and slide, some honeyed notes, sea spray and brine, then the more classic characters of lime, lemon and green apple. It's generous and riper than expected for the variety but, in that, complex, layered and just darn lovely. Lots of personality, too. Drink in youth.

Angus Hughson - Vinous

This 2024 Sémillon, which underwent barrel fermentation and maturation, delivers a powerful and expressive mix of melon and nectarine aromas enhanced by fine French oak and more savory, nutty tones. This is quite compact in its youth, with oak leading from the front right now, but underlying is delicious subtlety of flavor, composure and length. This will build into something special over time.
