A pulpy, chalky and fruity shiraz with blueberries, violets and some cassis on the nose. Medium-bodied with silky tannins. Fruity, juicy and laid back, with a comforting finish.

Dried flowers and dark fruit shape the bouquet of the 2023 Eden Valley Shiraz. It was a late season, and the wine smells quite brooding, with mulch/garden clippings, even peat. On the palate, the fruit is sweet and intense—there is certainly plenty of density and weight here—leading into prunes, dates and all manner of dark things. It plods across the palate with heavy footsteps. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
