This is not the Hunter red you’re expecting.

There’s no Shiraz here. Instead we have these two Iberian varietals dancing the tango; Tempranillo brings savoury red fruit and structure, while Touriga adds fragrance, freshness and a lovely floral lift.

The result is medium-bodied, bright and seriously drinkable, with enough depth for rich food, charcuterie and cheese, but none of the heaviness of a big Australian red.

And the pedigree is hard to ignore: three gold medals, 96 Halliday points and praise as an ‘utterly delicious’ example of a modern Hunter red.
