Single-site Moppa grenache from 120-year-old vines. Citrus blossom-flecked red plum, raspberry and cranberry fruit notes with hints of gingerbread, cold tea, dried orange rind, exotic spice, turned earth and charcuterie. Spacious and savoury with a lovely spicy red fruit flourish, saline acid entry and a real lip-smacking sapidity as it fades. I like this.

Sweetly ripe and instantly appealing, the inviting bouquet shows dark plum, wild strawberry, game, warm spice and toasted nut aromas. It's equally appealing in the mouth, delivering fleshy texture and polished tannins, finishing harmonious and delectable.

Grenache sourced from the De Fazio and Arila Gardens vineyards in the Moppa subregion; 10% whole bunch, 5% mataro co-fermented, 14 months old French oak. A flow of ginger-spiced macerated plum fruits with an array of fine spice and hints of pressed flowers, cola, cold tea, earth, citrus blossom, dried citrus rind and a curious note of spearmint way back in the distance. Savoury, perfumed and powdery of tannin with a swoop of sour cherry on exit.
