It's a lively white wine, pushing towards medium weight, with a good concentration of sweet lime, tonic water, radish savoury and spicy elements, with some jasmine tea and sweet, preserved-lemon elements. Quite glossy in texture, a touch cloying but pleasant, a delightful afterglow of preserved-lemon freshness yet depth lingering. It feels in the zone for the variety and delivers an overall very pleasing experience.

This 2023 Shining Rock Vineyard Gruner Veltliner is a lovely little wine! Plump, floral and mouthfilling, there is jasmine tea, green apple, orange blossom, talc and spice, all of it threaded together by saline acidity. It's a gorgeous wine, really pretty! This was tasted blind as part of the "Value for Money" tasting in September 2023. RRP $30 AUD.
