Tasting Notes

translucent pale ruby; bramble fruits, spice, dried herbs and coffee grounds; fresh red plum and cherry fruit, mint, savouriness and very gentle tannins; well-made from good fruit; adept, elegant and rounded. Improves with aeration and will gain some complexity with more bottle age. Fresh enough to serve without food, match with pizza, sausages or roast chicken.

Bottle variation

"One bottle didn't seem fresh, others were fine. Fairly light with some fruit (in the good bottles) - drank it with Belgian chicken waterzooi. . ."

Quite a Stunner!

"I wasn't sure what to expect from a French wine at only $13 per bottle (sale price). But it turned out to be very drinkable, especially given its price point. We will get some more."
