It's finely fragrant on the nose, showing dark plum, sweet cherry, rich floral, and subtle spice characters with a stylish oak infusion. The palate delivers excellent weight and succulent fruit intensity, wonderfully framed by fleshy texture and grainy tannins. Superbly structured and harmonious with a prolonged, sophisticated finish.

What you’re getting here is loads of ripe plummy fruit that explodes from the glass. The colour is dense and almost opaque black, with hints of bright red on the rims. It has a deep and rich intensity with an earthy, savoury dark chocolate richness on the palate. Two vineyards contribute — Wilyabrup and Yallingup — and that gives it a little lift on the finish. About 10% whole bunch has gone into it, and in the future, more will contribute to the finished wine. There’s real concentration and power here, very promising.

Superb colour – all dark purple-red matching the plum fruit at the heart of this full-bodied wine. It’s richly and intensely flavoured with licorice, cedary oak, baking spices and fresh herbs yet there’s a suppleness throughout. No shortage of tannins and raspberry acidity keeps this afloat.
