Rather Barolo-esque, this gathers up the youngest vines from estate vineyards in the neighbouring MGAs of Bricco Boschis and Vignolo. A distinct nose reveals cranberry tinged with earthy nuances of brushwood and iron. As it opens, lifted scents of freesia emerge. Solidly midweight, the palate is endowed with brambly berries and blood orange. Energy and tension simmer, and although the grainy tannins sport a slightly astringent tug, it glides smoothly to the lingering finish with a mineral iodine note.
