Charles Curtis MW - Decanter

The Santenots stands out in this cellar, with a subtle curranty fruit and hints of bramble and flowers that give lovely depth to the aroma. There is less grip than the Blagny, but more finesse. The grapes are from a domaine-owned parcel in the lieu-dit Les Plures; one-third fermented as whole clusters and are being aged in cask with a modest proportion of new wood.

Neal Martin - Vinous

The 2023 Volnay Village offers black cherries and blueberries on the nose, with hints of wilted violet. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet core of black cherry fruit laced with licorice. Perhaps it's just a little "modern" in style toward the glossy finish, bearing the mark of the heat wave more than other cuvées. Points: 87-89
