From the Lacey vineyard in Tatachilla, a site characterised by sandy loam, limestone and ironstone; matured in French oak, 15% new. Ripe and intense of fruit, this also feels thoroughly modern, unencumbered by shouty oak or excessive extraction. The fruit profile punches through black cherry liqueur, wild raspberry, tapenade, dark spices, white pepper, ground coffee and some dried Mediterranean herbs. There’s a saline slinkiness across the fuller-weighted palate, finishing supple and throat-warming.
