Yakka definitely sounds like a doing word to me, rather than a noun. Meaty, peppery, hazelnut, cherry and raspberry, quite some perfume too. It’s medium-bodied, nutty and gently chewy, some blood orange character to acidity, with a dry finish featuring dark bitter chocolate. Good wine. Savoury and interesting.

A meaty, spicy, supple red of ripe raspberry fruitiness, clove inflections, touches of bergamot tea and dark chocolate. It's flavoursome, it's heady in perfume, it drives with concentrated fruit characters, and winery seasoning seems well matched to the inherent personality of the wine. It delivers on a promise of shiraz at medium weight and shows some pizzazz.
