Suzanne Beware of the Devil. I love the old Trojan records stuff. Aside that, this wine is kind of old school in a way, in that it carries a fair bit of varietal herbal frisson, which I like. It’s Cabernet Sauvignon. Blackcurrant, red capsicum, pencils, a little mint cocoa. It’s medium-bodied, straight-backed and firm, but carries a core of small dark berried fruit, redcurrant too, along with some dried herb and black olive and, again, that sweet capsicum flavour. Tannin has grain and grip, there’s freshness too with bright tomato acidity, and it finishes pretty long with it. Excellent.

Plenty of vim and vigour here. A slurpy, ripe-fruited, herb-laced red of juiciness, a fine web of tannin and general sense of brightness. Sure, it finishes quite short on some woody dryness, but overall, there's a good delivery of distinct cabernet aromas and flavours, some depth to texture and a high quotient of pleasure. Good.
